Volunteer Opportunities
There are many ways to become involved at the Women's Resource Medical Centers of Southern Nevada. From working directly with clients to working behind the scenes, there is something for everyone. Listed below are some of the current volunteer opportunities. But don't let this list limit you! Peer Counselor
Peer Counselors counsel one-on-one with clients in the Centers. They attend volunteer training sessions that teach them how to embrace those who are abortion-minded. They are also trained to evangelize and share the gospel. Contact Anna at 366-1247 option 3 or email anna@wrmcsn.org
Male Advisors
Male Advisors counsel one-on-one with male clients in the Centers. They attend the same training sessions as Peer Counselors. Contact Anna at 366-1247 option 3 or email anna@wrmcsn.org
Helpline Counselors
Rather than counseling one-on-one in the Centers, Helpline Counselors answer the after-hours helpline. This can involve phone counseling or giving out a referral number. They attend the same training sessions as Peer Counselors. Contact Anna at 366-1247 option 3 or email anna@wrmcsn.org
Medical Missionaries
Medical Missionaries utilize ultrasound technology to counsel one-on-one in the Centers. They attend the same basic training as the Peer Counselors. In addition, Medical Missionaries are required to attend training through National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA) and perform 60 ultrasound scans with Dr. Sauter's office before being approved to serve as Medical Missionaries. Post-Abortion Counselors (HEART and Forgotten Fathers)
In order to facilitate a group, Post-Abortion Counselors need to go through the programs themselves and be signed off by the Client Services Director. Post-Abortion Counselors also do one-on-one counseling with clients who are struggling with their abortion experience(s). They attend the same training sessions as Peer Counselors. Material Services/Client Services Volunteer
Volunteers help sort clothing and miscellaneous baby items. They may also help with stamping brochures or assist in research. There is no training but individuals need approval from a Director. Contact Anna at 366-1247 option 3 or email anna@wrmcsn.org
New Believers Classes
Volunteers minister and teach the Gospel to clients who have recently accepted Jesus Christ. Contact Anna at 366-1247 option 3 or email anna@wrmcsn.org
Campus Pregnancy Resources (CPR) Volunteer
Campus Pregnancy Resources is a pro-life student group that is active on the UNLV campus. For more information, contact LaRae at 366-1247 option 3 or larae@wrmcsn.org
Development Department Volunteer
Development Volunteers assist with preparing mass mailings, including folding letters as well as stuffing and sealing envelopes. Contact Michelle at 366-1247 option 5 or email michelle@wrmcsn.org
Speakers Bureau Volunteer
Do you have a gift for public speaking and a heart to share with others the mission of the Women's Resource Medical Centers? As a Speakers Bureau Volunteer, there are opportunities to speak to local churches and community organizations on behalf of the Women's Resource Medical Centers. Baby Bottle Volunteer
Baby Bottle Volunteers assemble and label new baby bottles and wrap boxes with wrapping paper in preparation for baby bottle campaigns. Volunteers are also needed to sort baby bottles after they are returned to the Center. Contact Michelle at 366-1247 option 5 or email michelle@wrmcsn.org
Banquet Volunteer
Banquet Volunteers prepare banquet tables by setting up centerpieces and distributing materials to each table. They also help clean up materials after the Banquet. Contact Michelle at 366-1247 option 5 or email michelle@wrmcsn.org
Silent Auction Volunteer
Silent Auction Volunteers set up displays of items for auction. They answer questions from bidders at the Silent Auction, assist with bid cards, tally final bids, and notify winners. Race For Life Volunteer
There are various volunteer positions that need to be filled for this event. Race For Life Volunteers set up tables, register walkers, provide information to walkers, and help at the food and coffee table.
